Update one year later…

Dear Marilyn,

Just thought I’d let you know that Rebecca and I are doing terrific. Our family is healthy, happy and whole and we are doing better financially than ever before.

Though we lost our court case last June, the net result is a significant monthly revenue stream from a joint venture that may not continue to exist if we had won. In addition, our nanny business more than doubled in 2010. We build both businesses part time which has allowed me to go back to work full-time in the office with the forestry consulting company of which I’m an employee-shareholder. It is work I love to do and gives me structure to my day and a steady third source of income.

We look forward with much optimism for 2011 and continue to apply the lessons you’ve given us. Thanks so much and have a wonderful New Year!

Recently I was part of Marilyn’s weekly mentoring group. I’d been a student before but felt I needed a refresher and wanted some guidance around some issues I was having that I knew were blocking me. I thought I was putting into practice all the things I’d learned but I was missing some key components.

I loved the ongoing support and energy the group provided. Although I’ve been studying these laws on and off for several years now, there is always more to learn and I continually find new ways to improve what I’m already doing. What applied to one person, in some way, applied to all of us. I not only learned how to eliminate my blocks in a way I’d never tried, I learned a new way to visualize that brought dramatic results. Just last week, an unexpected $33,000 came into my hands. The home improvements I visualized can now become a reality and much, much sooner than I ever imagined. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have found what I’d been missing.

Dear Marilyn:

I just wanted to share some great news with you. My husband has accepted a fantastic position with a new business that is starting up in Coachella Valley. He will be Director of Research for this firm and we will probably be able to take our house off the market now due to this change. We are both so happy for the good news and he now feels he has his life back. I will continue to market my business but will not feel so stressed because he now has a new position with a bright future.

I’m sure the work I did with you through the Tuesday night group helped. We are so grateful for this opportunity and I know the future looks very bright indeed.

I got brilliant news tonight from a Director I am set to work with on a feature this year…..that there is a big star who wants the lead!

More on that later…

I also found out this morning that I got the cover of a Magazine called Student Filmmaker Magazine for a European 35MM feature I shot in 2009. It’s a featured article called “Simplicity and Light.”

I was asked to write for the mag on my work for the film project I photographed called MALICE. I have attached the PDF version of the Mag to share with you.

Yeah!!!

PS: I loved the story you told about Champion….very cool right down to his name 😉

In Memoriam

Marilyn,

I just wanted to update you on what’s been going on with Tracy and me. You may remember in one of our group telephone calls that Tracy had a dream that there was a check that she received in the mail for $50K. Last week we received a check from my parent’s estate for $66K.

We feel that where we are today with our thinking and the knowledge we have recently received began with your lessons and practice of abundant and positive thinking. We are grateful for all we have been learning and feel an aliveness and personal power that, for me, is something I haven’t felt before.

I recently tagged you on a photo on Facebook I took that you may not have seen. I was traveling on some dirt roads near the Prosperity Lane photo I sent you previously. I noticed there was a Poverty Flat Road that looked like it would intersect Prosperity Lane. I turned and followed the road and they did, indeed, intersect. The photo says it all.

… I became so aligned with the idea of my having these clothes, versus not being able to afford them, that something magical happened. I tried on the clothes, and created a pile of items I loved, pile of maybes and a pile of no’s. She rang up the items I loved so that we could determine what items I might want to pull out of the stack. She totaled the items at regular retail price of $2,600. Then she advised me that she’d give me all of it for less than $600 (including tax). …I felt confident and at peace with my decision. And yes, the new line of clothing is great (I now call it my Prosperity Line), but the REAL DEMONSTRATION here is my shift in consciousness.

I have been enjoying my life so much more–I’m soooo relaxed and confident–that I almost forget that I came to Marilyn because I wanted to earn more money.

Did she help me with that goal? Let me tell you the facts!

I contacted Marilyn on May 1st about the lessons. I didn’t actually sign up until the 15th (oh the negative money thoughts I had!!)

On May 17th I learned I was going to get a bonus for four cars I had already sold! (I sell BMWs) The bonus turned out to be over $1600.

I sold a record (for me) ten BMWs that month. Guess what–another bonus!

Then I figured I had it figured out, and quit working with Marilyn. How did that work out for me? It was dismal. I sold 4 cars in June. I was stressed and miserable.

So I came back to Marilyn… I signed up for group mentoring, and started about five weeks ago. I sold 12 cars last month. My average commissions are up from $250 to $450–not because I’m charging more 😉 but I’m selling a different mix of cars.

I’ve already earned more than I made in several entire months this year.

All in all, an excellent investment. The side effects of more confidence, calm, and joy are just a bonus. A wonderful bonus at that!
