Do You Think It’s Too Late to Start Anew?

Decades ago, I was an average woman with no resources and no formal education who set out to overcome her “lack” consciousness and prove that the prosperity laws worked. I created something from less than nothing — a tiny one-woman special event company that attracted major media publicity and the world’s largest corporate clients for over 20 years. I did all of this without marketing, advertising, or networking, years before something called the Internet arrived — and only through the use of my prosperity principles and the “Universe as my marketing department.”
But then in 2003 — my life again changed dramatically and forever, using these laws. I discovered a Marilyn that I never imagined existed. My true purpose revealed itself as the teacher who could take her experience and knowledge and bring it to others so they can change their lives too. All of the struggle and heartache of my earlier years suddenly made perfect sense — it was the driving force that led me to the prosperity laws to create a better life.
The most important thing I learned over the decades is that there is an Intelligence in this Universe that knows us more intimately than we could ever know ourselves. It knows exactly what we are supposed to do and where we do belong — and can guide us there — if we open our hearts to receive. If we open our hearts to trust. No matter what.
Several years ago I had prepared to offer this program for people over 50 who were embarking on this new quest — to find fulfillment in their business or work or fulfillment on a personal level during this phase of their lives. I actually created a presentation page. But then Infinite Intelligence had other plans for me and my idea had to be put aside. Those other plans were preparing me for a future destiny that showed up that year as my publishing deal with the world’s largest publisher, Penguin Random House. In my opinion, nothing short of miraculous. But this is important: It’s also my opinion that miracles abound for each and every one of us. Miracles can happen every day. Miracles should be our new normal.

Grandma Moses (Anna Mary Robertson Moses), American folk artist, began painting at the age of 76 because her arthritis prevented her from using a needle for her embroidery! Life magazine put her on its cover at age 96 and again to celebrate her 100th birthday. Her first paintings that sold for $3 later sold for $10,000.
Colonel Sanders was in his 60s and on Social Security when he had to close his service station and he set out to promote his secret chicken recipe.
Barbara Hillary became the first Black woman to travel to the North and South Pole, after the age of 75.
Harry Bernstein gained fame when he published his first book, The Invisible Wall: A Love Story That Broke Barriers, at age 96 in 2007.
Mary Hardison from Utah (pictured), at age 101, became the oldest woman to do a tandem paraglide, until 104-year-old Peggy McAlpine from Scotland topped her record. 
So, you can see this is not just about making money or becoming super successful or famous or changing the world. It’s about changing YOUR world and discovering what makes you happy at any age. But it’s also about making money — if that’s what you want — doing what you love to do. The alternative isn’t any fun, is it?

We are then living to work — to express our talents, our purpose, our joy, our bliss. When we are aligned with that work, we become a magnet to the material riches that the Universe has for us and we are open to the abundance that surrounds us.
But many people do not become aligned with their talents and passions until later in life. After all, there are children to raise, obligations and responsibilities to be met, and more often than not, personal desires are put on hold as attention is focused on caring for others. Or perhaps you have remained in a certain line of work that offered some security but is no longer aligned with your deeper values and maturity.
And then one day you awaken with the realization that you are in transition. You know that it is time for you to dig deeper for your purpose and to fulfill it. It is time for you to discover you and to express the real you through work that will bring you joy and satisfaction.
