Debt You Owe and Debt Owed You

Debt You Owe
Spiritual and grounded advice for a very important topic. The advice may shock you at first, but that will make you think. If you think about it, you’ll get it…
Note: For your understanding of this lesson, this is a rare occasion where I use the very word that I don’t want you to use anymore. Once you read this, then “mum’s the word.”
Let’s discuss how to deal with paying bills on time. The secret to overcoming a “debt” consciousness is to take our mind completely off our debts. Completely. This is not being irresponsible. This is not ignoring the “problem.” We are dealing with very powerful laws here that can eliminate the problem entirely.
The mind cannot hold two opposing thoughts at the same time. And…as long as you keep your mind on what you don’t want — debt — you will continue to have it. If you will keep your mind completely focused on what you do want — plenty of money — the debts will take care of themselves. You will manifest the money to pay them — not just on time but in full.
So, you can think like the masses and remain like the masses. Or you can think like a prosperity student and triumph.
Debt Owed You
One student had a challenge. Although the lessons had brought her new clients, she had one client who had not paid her. I explained that she must “release” this client and put her attention back on the Source of her supply and focus on the new business she is manifesting and will continue to manifest if she does this. As she takes her attention away from this appearance of lack, she will allow the Universe to adjust the situation for her and her client, and a solution will come.
I explained that as long as she thinks of her client as indebted to her, she actually holds her client in a state of lack and inability to pay. If she focuses only on plenty for herself and her client, the client will attract prosperity and pay her.
If we “loosen our clutches” on a problem, we relax and the solution will always come. If we bless and release a situation, the solution will come.
The client paid her.
What About “Good” Debt?
Yes, I do believe there is such a thing as good debt. A good debt is an investment that will increase in value, such as a home mortgage, or loans that will increase your income or earning power, such as an auto or business loan or a student loan for education. As you cultivate and grow your prosperity consciousness, doors will open to speed the repayment of these loans or possibly even pay them in full.
Credit Card Debt
I believe that credit cards have certain benefits: They offer convenience in today’s world. They are also a great tool for increasing your credit score. Long ago I learned from a credit bureau representative that if you make a large purchase and pay it off in several monthly payments, it will raise your credit score. It was good advice and it worked. That’s a practical tool to increase your rating, but I don’t consider that debt.
However, my personal opinion is that using a credit card for purchases that you don’t have the ability to pay for is the most dangerous form of debt. It is perpetually giving the message to the subconscious that you don’t have enough money, and the fees and interest charges keep increasing the debt. It is the antithesis of a prosperity consciousness and keeps the mind focused on debt instead of plenty.
There is nothing more freeing to my state of mind than knowing that everything I have in my possession truly belongs to me and is paid for. That freedom and peace of mind greatly impacts my ability to manifest money and maintains my excellent credit score.
Decades ago, I experienced the negative backlash of credit card debt. I was determined to learn from that experience and promised myself I would never be in debt again. I have stayed the course. I do have credit cards but rarely use them unless it’s for the reason mentioned above. When I use a retail charge account, I pay it in full when the bill is due. Automatic payments for utilities are deducted from my bank account. Automatic payments for business vendors are deducted from my business account using my corporate debit card.
To sum it up — in my opinion, the best thing that ever happened to society is the invention of the debit card. I freely use my personal and corporate debit cards. I know that as I create a vacuum with each payment, the Universe will rush to replenish it — with plenty.
